Spirit, citrus fruit and sugar—the original trio — combine to form the classic sour, one of the oldest types of cocktails which hail from early 1700's and 1800's sailors and pirates. Popular for mystical powers to stave off scurvy while making long voyages across the ocean more tolerable; sours hold a decisive place in world history. The bourbon Sour is a slightly different take on the traditional whiskey sour. Still well within the "sour family" yet stands strong on it's own. Rich complex notes form fine bourbon, a citrus kick with a sweet finish. The Bourbon Sour os refreshing and classy.
