Rabbit Hole Distillery
An Irish take on the Cuban mint classic Mojito cocktail, the whiskey mojito is a sweet and refreshing cocktail perfect for spring (mint julep alternative), or for any season. Extra ice enhances the whiskey notes, and the high rye whiskey really rounds it out.
2 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
2 oz. simple syrup (bonus simple syrup recipe in notes below)
6-8 total fresh mint leaves
1 ½ - 2 oz. Boxergrail premium high-rye whiskey
12 oz. can of club soda or lemon lime soda
Muddle lime juice, simple syrup, and mint in a cocktail shaker. Add Boxergrail high rye whiskey and ice. Cover and shake well.
Strain cocktail into a 12-oz. ice-filled rocks glass. Add club soda or lemon lime cola.
Garnish with additional fresh mint (optional, but recommended)
- 1/2 cup pure (organic) cane sugar
- 1/2 cup of spring water, or Kentucky limestone filtered water
SIMPLE SYRUP DIRECTIONS
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water on medium heat and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Once cool, transfer to mason jar and place in fridge.
