Sometimes you have a craving for salty, spicy, fried and bourbon. This dish combines them all and is a dinner that will quickly become a permanent one in your weekly rotation. Plus, you can sip on the most important ingredient while cooking! Bourbon chicken can be made stovetop or in the oven. This is a quick and amazingly delicious oven baked recipe for bourbon chicken. It truly is the best baked bourbon chicken recipe.
Ingredients
4 skinless, boneless organic free-range chicken breasts
1.5 teaspoons ground fresh ginger
1/4 cup of low-salt soy sauce
2 tablespoons dried minced onions
3/4 cup dark brown sugar (packed)

1/2 cup of high-quality bourbon
1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black popper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon creole seasoning (optional)
2-4 green onions (garnish)

Prep
Cube chicken breasts into 1-inch pieces.
Place chicken breasts in a 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish.
In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, onion, bourbon, black pepper, cayenne, minced garlic, creole seasoning, brown sugar, and garlic powder.
Whisk together and pour mixture over the chicken.
Cover with plastic wrap and marinate overnight.
Cooking
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (218 degrees C).
Remove chicken/dish from fridge, and remove plastic wrap.
Place in oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until juices in chicken run clear (or internal temperature of 165 F is reached).
Chop green onions.
Gently stir chicken and sauce together, and serve; topping each plate with green onions.
Recipe Note
Serve over hot sushi/short grain rice.
